About Us

Best Practice

We are increasingly being invited to talk at Conferences as an example of best practice and a success story.

In October a group of 5 members and staff represented the Project Group at the Service User and Carer Involvement Celebrations Day, held at Harper Adams University College, Newport.  The day was organised by the South Staffordshire and Shropshire NHS Foundation Trust with a range of stalls providing information about projects and services available to mental health and other specialist NHS service users and carers.  The Project Group gave one of five presentations to the audience on the work of the group, with moving member testimonials.  We also had a stall showing examples of a range of recently made retail products including recycle bags, zip jewellry and gift boxes.

Other examples include:

  • Breaking Cycles Conference, Telford, in November 2009
  • Social Enterprise: A Way Forward for Mental Health Services, in January 2010
  • inspire Shropshire: harnessing success in social enterprise, in June 2010
