Workshop

Retail Venues

The Project Group takes the opportunity to sell at a variety of venues across Shropshire whenever possible.

Made on the Border

This is a new venture held in Oswestry's Memorial Hall, selling items made on the Shropshire-Wales border.  The Project Group had a stall selling some new items and some old.

Rabbit Shows

Recently Mike Parry, member and passionate award winning rabbit breeder and exhibitor, had the idea of taking rabbit shaped ear rings and brooches to a rabbit show in Chester.  He reported back to the group that, "I just walked up to the judges wife, who bought 2 sets straight away".  Inspired by his success, and with feedback from the show on how to expand the range, the group are putting ideas into practice and developing an enhanced range of rabbit themed goods, based on Mikes drawings, for him to take to futue shows.

Blackberry Fair

A small group of Project Group members, led by volunteer Maura, hosted a stall at the 2011 Blackberry Fair in Whitchurch on Saturday 1st October.  This was an opportunity to raise the profile of the Project Group in this part of Shropshire, and for several members to sell items they had made at home.

Oswestry Food and Drink Festival

The Oswestry Food and Drink Festival is held annually, over a weekend in July, with stalls and events throughout the town.  2012 is the 6th year for the festival.

This year we will be taking the opportunity of selling our limited edition Jubilee plate and corgi mugs at the festival on Saturday 7th July.

Members designed and made items to sell at their market stall on Saturday 9th July 2011.  Taking the theme of food as the starting point, we produced screen printed tea towels and aprons, glass objects, baskets made from recycled plastic oil drums, felt key rings in the shape of fruit and vegetables and small glazed porcelain pots.

Other venues have included Chirk Castle Craft Fair, Made in Shropshire event in the Square in Shrewsbury, and Oswestry market.
